Trump mocks #MeToo, calls senator 'Pocahontas' during campaign stop

WASHINGTON DC- MAY 18 U.S. Sen. Jon Tester listens to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin at a Senate Banking Committee and International Policy hearing on Capital Hill

Trump started calling her "Pocahontas" during the 2016 election campaign.

Shortly after Trump threw darts at Warren on Thursday, Warren fired back, noting the Trump administration was conducting DNA tests on separated migrant families.

It set up the equation that prevailed for much of 2016 - with Trump adopting a position many people may see as extreme or offensive that causes mainstream media outlets to cry foul.

Trump, who made no mention of the resignation of embattled EPA chief Scott Pruitt hours earlier, also teased his trip to Europe and the forthcoming announcement of his Supreme Court Justice next week.

"We'll take that little kit and say, we have to go it gently because we are in the Me Too generation, and we will very gently take that kit, slowly toss it" to her, Trump said, adding that he would offer $1 million to charity if she took the test and it "shows you are an Indian".

Trump has held similar rallies targeting other Senate Democrats, hoping to expand the GOP's narrow, 51-vote majority in the midterm elections.

He continued on referring to Warren: "I'm going to get one of those little kits, and in the middle of the debate, when she proclaims that she is of Indian heritage because her mother said she has high cheekbones - that's her only evidence, that her mother said she had high cheekbones - we will take that little kit..." Warren is among the Democrats considered a potential 2020 candidate. Not a blemish, ' Trump said.

He also ridiculed the media for speculating that Mr. Trump isn't prepared for his upcoming meeting next week with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland.

The visit comes less than two weeks after his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., campaigned for Rosendale in the city of Billings. Chuck Schumer of NY and Rep. Maxine Waters of California.

President Trump speaks at a campaign rally in Great Falls, Mont., on Thursday.

Tester previously raised Trump's ire when he publicly opposed and criticized the president's initial choice for Veterans Affairs secretary, Rear Adm. Ronny Jackson.

Trump admitted in Great Falls, Montana that he likely traveled to the state because of the fight. Trump singled out Tester in April, saying the farmer from Big Sandy “will have a big price to pay” for releasing allegations against Jackson that included drunkenness, overprescribing medication and fostering a hostile work environment. Jon Tester (D) this November.

President Trump mocked U.S. Sen.

We are never surprised when Donald Trump says whatever crosses his mind and disregards everything and this time was no different.

"Let's say I'm debating Pocahontas [Warren]". "They really do. And they don't know who they're playing with, folks", Trump said. Trump is in Montana campaigning for Democrat Tester's Republican opponent. Mechanic Shane Hegle said he drove 120 miles (195 kilometres) from his Cut Bank home to be among the first in line.

"But Jon Tester said things about him that were terrible and weren't true".

"This is going to help a bunch, " Hegle said.

Montana is the latest stop on Trumps midterm campaign tour, created to boost Republicans and advocate for his first 18 months in office.

"A vote for Jon Tester is a vote for Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and the new leader of the Democrat party, Maxine Waters", President Donald Trump then told the assembled crowd.
