Main Take-Aways About Elder Scrolls: Blades From Bethesda's E3 Conference

Bethesda Just Announced ELDER SCROLLS VI and STARFIELD

It takes place in West Virginia, and it's a prequel to the entire series and following survivors of the nuclear apocalypse as they exit their legendary bunker, Vault 76. Yes, the next The Elder Scrolls game is being developed as we speak.

This autumn though there'll be The Elder Scrolls: Blades for smartphones. They were released in 1994 and 1996 respectively, and had first-person gameplay with attacks dealt by clicking and dragging the mouse about the screen. Bethesda head honcho Todd Howard claims that it features "console quality graphics", but with a uniquely mobile experience. Now, we still don't have much information, but the fact that we know it's coming is a big start.

Given that Starfield was only briefly tease, we can probably assume that it's still pretty far out from release and that, by extension, Elder Scrolls VI is as well. In your quest to find out who's responsible for this destruction, you'll be sent off into exile and go through dungeons that are both procedurally generated and pre-created by Bethesda.

If you are excited to play the game then do sign up on Bethesda's website to receive an in-game helmet and sword when it launches. Another game with not many details but it could well be Skyrim in Space, which works for me.

Another indication that The Elder Scrolls VI will be a while came when Howard explained Bethesda's development process and where its major projects are in that process.

Amidst all the incredible showings, Bethesda managed to end its E3 2018 media briefing at an even higher note.

Check out the very brief Starfield teaser above, and equally brief Elder Scrolls teaser below.

The game will also release on consoles and PC at a later date, though no details regarding that have yet been made public.
