Skip Bayless calls out 5-star recruit for choosing IN over Vanderbilt

Romeo Langford accepts his invitation to the McDonald's All American Game

Langford originally listed schools like Louisville, Kentucky, Duke and North Carolina as his favorites during his sophomore year but narrowed the choice of Kansas, Vanderbilt and IN, choosing the latter.

Not long after, Bayless, who graduated from Vanderbilt in 1974, took to Twitter, telling Langford that he should have "signed with the best school in the country". Vanderbilt and Kansas were his other two choices remaining.

Ultimately, it came down to his desire to help rebuild IN into the national powerhouse it once was while doing it IN front of a state full of adoring fans who have been just as active as the IU coaching staff IN recruiting Langford to stay home.

It's official, Romeo Langford will be a Hoosier.

Langford then placed the Hoosiers hat atop his head to roaring applause.

Five-star shooting guard Romeo Langford ended his recruitment Monday, announcing his decision to attend Indiana.

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who is fourth in IN high-school scoring history with 3,002 points, is likely a one-and-done National Basketball Association player.

Nationally, Langford is considered one of the top recruits in the 2018 class, ranked No. 5 in the country by ESPN and No. 6 by 247 Sports and Rivals. Miller has signed four four-star prospects for 2018-19, but adding the five-star Langford late should provide an immediate impact on Indiana's place in the Big Ten pecking order after tying for sixth in the league last season.
