Each year, Rita's marks the arrival of spring by giving away a free Italian ice to every guest.
Dairy Queen will also use the annual Free Cone Day to collect money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals a charity that, according to the Minnesota-based restaurant chain, raises funds and awareness for 170 hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to children across both the USA and Canada. Dairy Queen fans and franchises helped the company bring in almost $300,000 in one day a year ago, the company adds.
Rita's has its own sweet freebie for its 26th annual first day of spring giveaway, which will be during regular hours Tuesday. Get your free treat between noon and 9 p.m. How about FREE ice cream?
The offer is good at participating non-mall locations and limited to one per person. The three finalists all win a year of free ices.
