Seahawks trade another star amid Richard Sherman confusion

All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman has said goodbye to his Seahawks teammates, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Any future discussions with the Seahawks regarding his future will continue while Sherman is in Vegas. So if Sherman were to end up elsewhere next year as a result of Seattle deciding to go in a different direction, here are five potential landing spots for the cornerback to consider.

In response, several Seahawks players have tweeted farewell messages to Sherman.

Sherman told Anderson, however, that he will speak to Carroll and Schneider over the phone.

The Seahawks are the only National Football League team Sherman's known. Lane implied that he'd gotten a text message about No. 25 - the number Sherman wears.

Both Kam Chancellor and Jeremy Lane took to Twitter to insinuate that Sherman is no longer part of the team.

The Seahawks have discussed Sherman with other teams in the past, and he would surely command interest on the trade market even with his injury history and contract.

Not to mention, the status of Kayvon Webster being ready for the start of the 2018 season is still up in the air as well since, just like Sherman, the cornerback suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon as well, only his happened in December.

Releasing Sherman would clear $11 million in cap for the Seahawks while furthering their youth movement, as Sherman turns 30 later this month. And last week, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reported that a source says Sherman is still "receptive to the idea" of joining the Patriots via trade or free agency.
