US Marshal Killed, Multiple Officers Injured After PA Shooting

A deputy US marshal died after a police-involved shooting in Harrisburg this morning, according to officials. He was injured when a bullet hit his body armor. Courtesy of the Associated Press and YouTube.

Pierce was wanted by Harrisburg police for "terroristic threat offenses" with a gun. CBS News indicated that the other shot officers are "OK" after the exchange of bullets, and they are now being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Shayla Lynette Towles Pierce allegedly pulled a gun without a concealed-carry permit on November 25 in Harrisburg, according to the newspaper. Hill later died from his injuries at the hospital.

The officers returned fire, killing the unidentified suspect. Our police are tough and put their lives on hold regular to guard communities.

Several U.S. Marshals received tickets while parked outside a hospital where their colleague died.

A U.S. Army veteran, Hill served in Afghanistan from 1993-1996.

A deputy U.S. Marshal was killed in the line of duty Thursday morning while executing an arrest warrant in, Pennsylvania, the agency announced.

Gunfire broke out after 6 a.m.in the home on Mulberry Street where the warrant was being served after a woman was handcuffed and taken into custody, according to troopers.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf said he was "saddened to hear this tragic news".

In a statement issued from Washington, Attorney General Jeff Sessions described law enforcement as heartbroken over Hill's death.
