Oxlade-Chamberlain ready to shine against Arsenal, says Klopp

Bournemouth 0-4 Liverpool

Klopp suggested adjusting to the difference between Arsenal and Liverpool's styles, as well as joining after the season had started, was a factor in how things have panned out for Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The England midfielder has been settling into life at Anfield after having opted to leave The Emirates to sign for the Reds in the summer transfer window on deadline day.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is primed to haunt Arsenal on his return to the Emirates Stadium this week, according to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. "Hopefully he stays fit, that's the most important thing", Klopp told the club's website (www.liverpoolfc.com). Oxlade-Chamberlain has scored just twice in 20 appearances for Liverpool and managed 20 goals in 198 games for Arsenal. It's hard, you can't just play a little bit, you don't know all your team-mates - it's all different. That's how it is. "There's no difference between Ox and Mo - I think Ox would have needed less time than Mo and he was already quick". He's really fit, you could see it at Bournemouth, there was not one second where you thought he looked exhausted.

"If you watched Arsenal in the past, the two decisive players were (Alexis) Sanchez and (Mesut) Ozil". "I think the biggest improvement, or the biggest potential he still has, is really being involved in goalscoring situations, because he has it in himself", Klopp said.

Giroud, who has been starting for Arsene Wenger's men recently, injured his hamstring against West Ham last night and has been ruled out.

"They are a complete side, able to do everything". They have plenty of offensive players and looking at them recently, they have changed a lot their teams so it is hard to guess.

"We are a team that is very offensive-orientated, but that doesn't mean you have to give any space away". The boys needed to be more aware of different situations.

"They can change styles, they played a lot of long balls against us".
