Comedian Hannibal Burress Arrested in Miami, Tells Cop

Buress, who is handcuffed and leaning against the cops' auto can be seen with two cops standing right in front of him as he repeatedly yells, "Am I under arrest?" When he is told he is, he asks, "for what? For what? ... Explain what I'm detained for", Buress can be heard asking. "What I am detained for?"

'You know y'all goofy as f**k, ' responds Buress. "You don't have probable cause for anything and you're hella stupid right now".

The other officer tells Buress that he's making it harder on himself and he replies, "No you're making it harder". "He's just salty because I roasted his ass. Take the handcuffs off of me, I didn't do anything, I'm not getting in your vehicle", he said. "I'm not getting in your vehicle". Though they're not shown in the video, there also does appear to be multiple bystanders in the background of the video watching closely as the situation unfolds.

According to the Miami Police Department, Buress was arrested for disorderly intoxication at 10:30 PM. Wynwood is the site of numerous events related to Art Basel, an annual arts fair that attracts numerous celebrities to the city. He was later released after paying a $500 bond. When the officer declined, Buress went into a venue and the officer followed him, feeling he was too intoxicated to remain. After the officer reportedly refused, the 34-year-old comedian reportedly began yelling profanities. The officer said he asked Buress to leave five times before putting him in handcuffs. "Especially during #ArtBasel", Corben tweeted Sunday morning. "Nobody called police or complained about him".

Buress is seen performing in November.

Buress is credited with helping to take down pervy comedian Bill Cosby after a 2014 bit calling the elder comedian racist renewed scrutiny over long-standing allegations that Cosby had drugged and raped women.
