Trump to undergo physical and release details early next year

Yury Martyanov Kommersant

All this prompted many to speculate about Trump's dental or health problems, in what was rejected by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders who said that "the President's throat was dry, nothing more than that".

Facing global isolation for recognising Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, the White House yesterday defended President Donald Trump's decision, asserting that it was a reflection of the ground realities and the U.S. was committed to the Middle East peace process.

Towards the end of his speech, Trump was seen slurring and mispronouncing words like "god bless America", fuelling speculation about his health. "That will take place at Walter Reed [Medical Center] and those records will be released by the doctor following that".

But theories were rampant on social media that the president had suffered some type of mini stroke or other medical episode after it sounded like he ended his speech on Wednesday with "and God bless the United Shtesh".

At the White House Hanukkah party the mood was ecstatic as President Trump promised that the evening would be "all about Jerusalem".

"I do know that I spent 12 days on the road with him in Asia, and despite the fact that he's a little bit older than me, he had twice the energy that I do, and I'm the one sick now and he's still going", Sanders said last week in response to an earlier question about the president's health.

Trump has frequently touted his health throughout his campaign and presidency, and producing a letter signed by his personal physician of 35 years to prove his point.

The footage, broadcast on CNN, also showed Mr Trump adjusting his mouth several times.

Trump's predecessors typically underwent annual physical examinations with a military doctor and had details of their examination results released to the public.
