Mueller has enough evidence to charge Michael Flynn

According to NBC News, investigators reportedly plan to interview multiple witnesses who may be able to shed some light on Flynn's earlier lobbying work, whether he was ever involved in money laundering, and whether he ever lied to or misled federal investigators regarding his overseas contacts.

Earlier this week, Professor Jacobson noted that Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is focused on process crimes and other things unrelated to the goal of the Trump campaign-Russia collusion investigation.

FBI investigators are reported to have arranged interviews with multiple witnesses in the coming days with the aim of gathering further evidence against Mr Flynn. On that same day, it was announced foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Investigators will also look at whether the elder Flynn tried to help form a plan to extradite an opponent of Turkish President Recep Erdogan who lives in the U.S.

Mueller's team also subpoenaed the lobbying firm SGR LLC in August after Flynn Intel Group hired the firm to ostensibly "promote a good business climate in Turkey", The Washington Post reported.

Michael G. Flynn worked with his father, and briefly worked on Trump's presidential transition.

And having Flynn's son over a barrel could get him there. The Justice Department believed Flynn was thus vulnerable to blackmail as a result.

Trump and his officials downplayed earlier arrests due to their work on the campaign rather than the administration, a charge for Flynn could would see that argument quashed. Flynn later retroactively registered as a foreign lobbyist this year.

Last week, three individuals were charged in the investigation headed up by special counsel and former FBI director Robert Mueller. This possibility may be especially significant given that Flynn declined a new request in September to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
