September 7, 2017 (EIRNS)-Russian Far East Development Minister Aleksandr Galushka told TASS today that at a meeting yesterday, a delegation from North Korea, led by its Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Kom Young-jae, came with their own proposals of possible areas of cooperation with Russia.

Mr Trump has repeatedly said all options are on the table in dealing with North Korea, including a military one.

"I am allowing Japan & South Korea to buy a substantially increased amount of highly sophisticated military equipment from the United States", Trump said in a tweet.

South Korean officials said they were watching for radioactive fallout from the test and for signs of preparations for more activity.

The government is shifting to a tougher line on North Korea after the North's nuclear test on Sunday.

Washington, Sep 6 (IANS): Asked about his opinion of US President Donald Trump during the just concluded BRICS summit in China, Russian President Vladimir Putin had brushed aside the query saying Trump "is not my bride" according to the US media. But he insisted that military action wouldn't be his first choice. Trump, who also once favored talks with Pyongyang, recently said this was "not the answer".

"China will make close communication with relevant parties with an objective, fair and responsible attitude", Wang said without commenting if China would agree to curb oil exports to North Korea. "Let us see how the situation develops", he said.

The Russian leader has been unusually outspoken about North Korea and how the global community should respond in the wake of that country's sixth nuclear test on Sunday.

The Ronald Reagan was out on routine patrol from May until August and was sent to the Sea of Japan with another carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, to take part in drills with Japan's Self Defence Forces as well as the South Korean military.

He quoted Mattis as saying the United States will defend Japan, citing in particular the deterrence offered by the U.S.

They urged more efforts to pressure North Korea to abandon what they called its "current threatening and destabilizing path".

In fact, the US recently imposed sanctions on Russia over its interference in the 2016 USA election, when Russian hackers meddled with the system to favor the elected US president. "For this goal, I call on Russian Federation to cooperate so that it would resolutely show initiative in the current situation", Tass quoted Abe as saying.
