Three men charged in Charlottesville attacks on counterprotesters

Police searching for suspect connected to Aug. 12 assault in Charlottesville

Harris left the rally with eight stitches in his head, lacerations, a broken wrist and a chipped tooth from the brutal assault.

The baby-faced Borden, who was charged with malicious wounding, has a history of hate.

In addition, Charlottesville police said Daniel Patrick Borden, 18, was charged with malicious wounding and is in custody in Cincinnati.

Charlottesville police on Friday arrested a man in connection with the beating of 20-year-old Deandre Harris in the wake of the deadly "Unite the Right" rally.

Video and photographs of the incident, in which Harris was attacked with clubs and poles by a group of white supremacists, went viral and sparked outrage.

Letters provided by the ACLU of Virginia show that staff sent the video to the Federal Bureau of Investigation on August 17 and then to Charlottesville and state police on August 20.

In a statement, the Charlottesville Police announced that the toll of injured persons in the vehicle attack on a crowd of anti-racist counter-demonstrators has been raised to 35.

Police say Alex Michael Ramos was charged with malicious wounding. James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of OH, has been charged with second-degree murder in that case.

Officials said 52-year-old Richard Wilson Preston was arrested in Baltimore and charged with discharging a firearm within 1000 feet of a school.

A lawyer for Harris told the New York Times that he credited Shaun King, an activist and columnist for the New York Daily News, with using social media to identify the suspects in Harris' beating.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of Ramos, contact the Charlottesville Police Department at 434-970-3280.
