The majority of 1,125 voters across the U.S. in the poll said Mr Trump was not honest, did not have good leadership skills, was not intelligent and did not care about them. Today, Gallup shows Trump's disapproval rating climbing to a new high of 60 percent.
They mark the lowest approval rating and highest disapproval rating of his presidency.
A new Quinnipiac University poll out Wednesday shows that just 33 percent of American voters approve of the job Trump is doing and 61 percent say they disapprove.
The other numbers compiled by Quinnipiac University also don't paint a nice picture for Trump.
With his White House gripped by chaos and seemingly every day bringing another bombshell story rocking his administration, it appears voters are roundly rejecting President Donald Trump's job performance. "Profound embarrassment over his performance in office and deepening concerns over his level-headedness have to raise the biggest heads".
Military households approved of transgender people serving in the military 55 percent to 39 percent, according to the poll. A mere 2 percent of Democrats indicated approval of the President. They disapprove of his job performance 50 percent to 43 percent. Sixty-one percent of American voters disapprove of Trump, according to the poll. And in a bit of news that would likely irk a president seemingly obsessed with his predecessor, Rasmussen noted "Trump's overall approval numbers this week are lower than any Barack Obama received during his entire presidency".
Republican voters remained the only demographic group opposed to allowing transgender people in the military. That surpassed his previous unwanted benchmarks of 57 percent negative and 34 percent positive ratings in a June Quinnipiac poll. For his total approval to fall, then, the decline would have to come from demographic groups that have more room for his approval to fall.
"Voters say a soldier is a soldier, no matter what his/her gender identity is", Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll, said in a statement released with the survey results.
The poll, carried out between 27 July and 1 August, follows another blow to Republicans as their second attempt to repeal Obamacare was voted down in the Senate.
