JJ Redick Rumors: 76ers, Timberwolves, Nets Interested in SG

Los Angeles Clippers guard JJ Redick during the second half of an NBA basketball game against the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday

Redick recently located to the East Coast from Los Angeles, where he spent the past four seasons with the LA Clippers. Redick was the type of shooter the Wolves covet.

According to PhillyVoice's Rich Hofmann, Wojnarowski listed the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves as the most interested parties.

Last season, Redick averaged 15.0 points and drilled 42.9 percent of his threes on a career-high six long-range attempts per game.

Once Paul informed the Clippers he meant to leave as a free agent if they did not trade him to Houston, the franchise accomplished its next top objective: agreeing on a new contract with All-Star power forward Blake Griffin on Friday evening. The report came shortly before the National Basketball Association free agency period opened at 11 p.m. Friday.

Redick turned 33 years old earlier in June and the 2016-2017 season was his 11th campaign in the National Basketball Association.

Hours after trading point guard Ricky Rubio to Utah on Friday, the Wolves reportedly reached an agreement on a three-year, $57 million contract with free agent point guard Jeff Teague.

He could have signed a contract for as many as four years, but opted to take more money up front and re-enter the free agent pool again in 2018.
