Ratings Skyrocket, Sponsors Flee as Trump Endorses Fox News Host O'Reilly

The alleged payouts have prompted at least 38 advertisers to pull spots from "The O'Reilly Factor". Among the companies still advertising on the show are Coventry and the Life Credit Company. Most recently MyPillow, Pfizer and LendingTree have all looked into pulling their ads from O'Reilly's show. The Fox News host, whose show has been abandoned by dozens of advertisers, hasn't admitted any wrongdoing.

Former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson, who sued Ailes last summer, alleging harassment and retaliation.

Carlson and the attorney who represented her, Nancy Erika Smith, spoke at the Women in the World conference in New York City.

"I think that if the public and if advertisers continue to push on their beliefs and move away from O'Reilly, then Fox News may also follow suit", said Mimi Chakravorti, the executive director of a brand consulting firm, in an interview with TVNewser. She said Trump "just called a bunch of women liars", adding that's designed "to shut us up".

The reporter said some of O'Reilly's co-workers are upset that the host "has been allowed to continue nearly un-rebuked" by the network despite having been accused of sexual harassment and other inappropriate behavior by five different women.

Over the weekend, 67-year-old O'Reilly issued a statement denying claims of sexual harassment, but did not deny paying the settlements, stating that he did so to "put to rest any controversies to spare my children".

The robust viewership shows the tough road Fox News is walking along these days.

Last week, a report in the New York Times revealed that Bill O'Reilly has been at the center of various sexual harassment and verbal abuse charges from various women. O'Reilly hasn't admitted any wrongdoing.

"It's coming out of the mouth of someone who has said some awful things about women", Waters said.

"They are two of a kind", Waters said.

O'Reilly's comments resulted in a backlash and he ultimately apologized, saying that his comment on Waters' hair was "dumb".

Fox News didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
