Hoffenheim ends Bayern Munich's 20-match unbeaten run

Hoffenheim's win away to Hertha Berlin last Friday helped to keep their dream of a top-four finish alive

Bayern Munich had their 20-match unbeaten run in all competitions ended at Hoffenheim yesterday morning (Singapore time) as Andrej Kramaric's victor sealed the hosts' shock 1-0 victory.

High-flying Hoffenheim deals Bayern its 2nd Bundesliga loss.

Hoffenheim keeper Oliver Baumann withstood a succession of Bayern chances as Carlo Ancelotti's men saw their own 15-match unbeaten streak brought to a close. "The win is unbelievable", Hoffenheim backer Dietmar Hopp said after his side's first ever victory over Bayern at the 18th attempt.

In the midst of that stretch, Bayern and Dortmund played out the most violent match in Bundesliga history that highlighted the increasingly fiery rivalry.

They lost this fixture 5-1 last season to go with a 2-1 defeat in the season prior to that and since Bayern have already beaten 2nd placed Leipzig 3-0 at home, they look a fair price at 1.6, despite their slipup in midweek. We only conceded one or two chances, which is in itself an incredible achievement against Bayern.

Despite being on the back foot, Aubameyang missed another great chance when he struck Adler in the face.

Naglesmann's Hoffenheim now sit third in the Bundesliga, one points ahead of Borussia Dortmund and 11 clear of fifth place Cologne.

Hamburg are only just clear of the relegation places, but are unbeaten in their last four league games after Lewis Holtby scored their 92nd-minute victor in Saturday's 2-1 victory against Cologne.

Jojic scored his second goal in two games after picking up David Abraham's header outside the box before driving a shot past Lukas Hradecky and into the net via a post eight minutes into the second half.

With German chancellor Angela Merkel watching from the stands, Milos Jojic's strike after the break was enough for Cologne to move fifth, level on points with Hertha Berlin, which visits Borussia Moenchengladbach on Wednesday.
