No, Sir Elton John will not be performing at Trump's inauguration

ROCKET MAN A Trump advisor says Elton John will play at Donald Trump's inauguration

Sir Elton John has denied claims that he is set to perform at Donald Trump's presidential inauguration.

"Incorrect. He will NOT be performing".

A spokesman for the Trump inauguration committee did not respond to a request for comment on Scaramucci's claim.

The Globe's top picks for what to see and do each weekend, in Boston and beyond.

We're less than two months away from the inauguration of Donald Trump, who will ascend to the presidency in a ceremony that will, as always, feature plenty of pomp and circumstance.

His music blared across stadiums for countless Donald Trump rallies, but Elton John won't be participating in the president-elect's inauguration, a representative for the famed singer said Wednesday.

Bur earlier this year a publicist for Elton John made clear that permission for the music to be used at rallies had not been given.

On the campaign trail, Trump had few A-list celebrity supporters. Proud self-groping hunting enthusiast Ted Nugent?

Well, if John's out, Trump could always give Azealia Banks a call. The singer told the news site Mic in October that the possibility of a Trump victory made him "fear for the world" when it came to helping raise awareness of and spurring activism for treating and curing HIV.

Though Trump used some John songs during campaign rallies, it's not a surprise that the latter won't be rallying for the president-elect on January 20.

Clinton, John said, stood for "equality, decency, kindness and respect".
