Henrik Stenson wins his 2nd Race to Dubai title

Henrik Stenson won the Race to Dubai for the second time after a brilliant final round at Jumeirah Golf Estates confirmed his status as European Tour Number One.

South Africa's Charl Schwartzel finished alone in third, with overnight leader Victor Dubuisson, Francesco Molinari, Soren Kjeldsen, Nicolas Colsaerts and Bernd Wiesberger tied fourth. "You're going to miss some of them", said the world No.15.

His two-under par round of 70 moved him to five under for the tournament, level with world number two Rory McIlroy, who had earlier threatened one of his familiar surges to give himself a sniff of a chance to usurp Stenson. But I had some reports later in the round that she was doing okay, and of course, you get shocked when you get hit like that and it's painful.

But after sending his tee shot into the water at the last, Hatton made his first bogey of the day to fall back to 16 under and open the door for Fitzpatrick.

Danny Willett suffered the human equivalent of catastrophic engine failure in the Race to Dubai on Saturday to end any hope of finishing the season as Europe's Golfer of the Year.

Rory McIlroy started the week as the big outsider to win the Race to Dubai and his chances are even slimmer after shooting 75, ending a run of 28 straight rounds of par or lower at the World Tour Championship.

It has been a hard year for the 26-year-old, who slumped out of the top-100 in the world rankings before rediscovering his form last week in the Nedbank Challenge in South Africa, where he finished tied third.

After a par round on Thursday, Stenson was trying to make up lost ground when his golf ball was picked up by a spectator on the par-5 Hole 2.

'I played some lovely golf today but somehow managed to turn a 62 into a 68, ' reflected the Northern Irishman, who now has virtually no chance of holding on to either of the two titles he claimed on the same Sunday a year ago.

"Obviously it's a bitter pill to swallow, but it's been a great week and, for me, it's been the best year of my life".

Except for two bad tee shots, one of which resulted in his solitary bogey on the 13th, Garcia was in complete control as he made six bogeys. "Now I just need to get that win". "Yeah, I'm just making sure that we're going to get her details so I can send her something nice", he added. Ko said. "That's why no matter what position I am, I'm the chaser". "I hit a lot of good shots but didn't hole many putts".

Ogilivy, who ended the day with an 11-under 205, faces a tough last round at Royal Sydney in which he will be hotly pursued by a chasing pack that includes American star Jordan Speith and his Australian compatriots Aaron Baddeley and Rod Pampling.
