Lindsay Lohan's New Accent Gets an Explanation

The club Referencing her rumoured beau Dennis Papageorgi who she co-owns the club with she insisted they are more than friends and business partners before gushing about his mum and sister who helped in her time of need

We know that Lindsay Lohan can do a very convincing English accent, we learnt that from Parent Trap.

A 32-second news clip shot at the October 15 opening of Lohan, an Athens nightclub in which she is a partner with Greek restaurateur Dennis Papageorgiou, shows the 30-year-old "Mean Girls" star commenting on the need to help people whether through refugee camps, nightclubs or spas. Michael spoke to ET on Wednesday, when he explained that Lindsay's learning multiple languages and often bounces between them.

Lindsay Lohan, who has (voluntarily or not) shifted her attention from acting to global humanitarian issues, premiered a freakish new accent at the opening of her new nightclub in Greece last month.

Unfortunately, Lohan's new voice has overshadowed what she actually said to the reporters, which is that she hopes that her nightclub business will somehow expand to include spas, and uh, refugee camps.

But Lindsay hit back at the comments by cheekily replying: "What should I call my new accent?".

Her accent combines all those influences into a sound that merits its own name.

Meanwhile, last week it was reported that Lindsay had promised to turn on the Christmas lights in Kettering, but the council hasn't been able to get hold of her since.

She broke off her engagement with Egor Tarabasov earlier this year after revealing she had been in an abusive relationship with him. "I moved to London four years ago, and the taxes seem to be getting higher", she confessed. All while speaking in a new clipped accent, with passionate European mannerisms to boot. When I went through hardships with my ex I really found "good family" in these people from Greece'.

Lindsay's a woman of many languages.

She said: 'Just as I did in Turkey with refugees.

As for why people do this, we're not quite sure.
